This little Screech owl, perched on the pair of binoculars propped up against a birder’s field guide titled “Finding Birds in North America”, may be wondering where that birder has gone.  If he/she is looking for birds… there is a mighty fine example of feathered perfection right there, right now.  Sometimes we are so focused on seeking something that we believe is going to be difficult to find, we miss the special moments right in front of us.  This little sculpture was created to remind us that we must remain open to the magic and beauty that is ever-present if we just take the time to notice.
