Sometimes it is nice to have a piece of art that is also functional in some aspect.  This bell can be inside or outside as desired. It features different types of flowers on each of the four sides. The gorgeous patina is created in a long and painstaking process of ‘blue padding’ carefully around each blossom and leaf detail until the entire sculpture virtually glows.  Then the patina is applied and the blossoms and leaves, etc. are rubbed back to their original ‘bronze’ appearance, setting them apart from the background.  The clapper below is the face of the sun – on one side smiling with ‘eyes’ open, on the other side ‘smiling’ but with eyes closed for rest. The tone of the bell is quite lovely, but the clapper is heavy enough that it doesn’t ring constantly but only if there is a good breeze to move the clapper – or you wish to ring it yourself.
