Prickly Perch

This little Bewick’s wren has selected a prickly perch during a break from seeking insect food in the leaf litter on the ground.  I love wrens and I find pinecones beautiful and interesting… so I thought pairing them up in a little sculpture would be fun.  I hope you think so, too!
